My sister came to town this weekend for the Renaissance Festival and we took time out to play.  I took her to Stamper's Ink in Shawnee, Kansas.  It is an awesome store for stampers.  They are the owners of the Riley the Moose stamp line.  We had the opportunity to check out the new Riley releases that are coming out this week.  Here are a couple of cards I made today with a couple of the new releases.  They are colored with Copic Markers and Martha Stewart markers.  I am loving the Riley stamp line . . .

Over the years I've managed to accumulate a little ribbon. As I finish going through boxes I'm sure I'll find more. Now I just need to find a practical, affordable way to store it all.

Made a litle more progress in the craft room last night.  Here are a few photos looking towards the work tables I built.  Still lots more work ahead of me, but at least the heavy work is done.

So I decided I wanted to totally change the layout of the craft room/basement.  I have worked hours and hours this weekend and got a large amount of work done.  I still have sooo much more to do.  Lots of organizing and purging needs to be done.  I "sectioned off" the basement and decided to make the craft room/living room area the width of the house at one end of the basement instead of cutting the room down the middle.  So much better.  I also moved all (well it's gonna be all) of the stored things into the area around the washing machine (on the other side of the bookcase wall) and am going to figure out how to hang curtains for walls to keep it from view.  I can't wait until I get completely done and can have friends and family over to play.  I want to get another table like the one I have (there are almost always some like it on craigslist) and I need a sewing table. I also need rugs. Eventually it would be nice to have all matching comfy chairs instead of the ones I have.  Hopefully by the end of this coming weekend I'll have the rest done and can post pictures of the rest of the room.  I got the pink and green crates on clearance at Wal-mart for 50 cents each, the pink gooseneck lamps on the table and the pink floor lamp and the green trash can for $1.00 each.  They had pink (fuschia) curtain panels on clearance for a $1.00 and I should have bought some to make my curtain wall, but I didn't think about needing them until it was too late.  Eventually I'm gonna have a "paint day" and paint the little dressers, the work tables I built and the peg board white.
